Tension Releasing Exercises

Stress is released by trembling

Practice for body therapy and trauma therapy
in Munich-Schwabing and Berlin-Kreuzberg

Tremble to become normal

The Tension Releasing Exercises TRE®, founded by David Bercelli, consist of a few exercises that make the body tremble, vibrate, or shake. In this way, the body can release high tensions that are stored in the nervous system and muscles. After two or three sessions at the latest, you have understood how to do it and can continue practicing alone at home.

You can use TRE to relax, to relieve occupational stress, or after physical exertion such as in sports. However, TRE is not a form of therapy, but merely a versatile tool that you can use both in trauma therapy and to relieve chronic tension.

TRE – What is it? – an introduction

It consists of a few simple exercises that make the body or larger muscle groups vibrate, tremble or shake. In this way the body can reduce high tensions, which are stored in the musculature and the nervous system.

Questions about trembling

Tension Releasing Exercises (TRE) were developed to help as many people as possible in a crisis area in a short time. They helped earthquake victims, refugees, soldiers, tsunami victims and many more. The exercises reduce the stress people are exposed to in a disaster area. The exercises are easy and quick to learn.

What is bodywork?

Bodywork and body therapy are similar in their meaning, but not the same. The term body therapy is used in German to describe people who are sick or have complaints, conditions or symptoms to treat, which is why I don't like to use it so much. Bodywork is a superior collective term similar to "trees" or "fish" or "work".
